THESE GAME CAMERAS ARE...

Here at MAN vs. WHITETAIL we have never been a big fan of game cameras due to our low profile style of hunting. Although cameras have come a long way with digital making it possible to check your cameras less frequently, we still did not like the intrusions into our hunting areas just to get pictures that may be weeks old, and the animal we are after might be long gone to another area. The invention of cellular cameras seemed to have solved this issue. Unfortunately, most of these cameras came with other issues to overcome. High price, complicated equipment, complicated set up, large bills for servers, expensive private web sites, big cellular contracts and the issue of a very short battery life forcing us to still frequently visit our cameras in the woods.

Then we found the “Pix Controller Raptor Camera”!!! This camera provides a live feed directly to our email and cell phone within 30 seconds of any animal that passes our camera. We never have to go back to check the camera again, as the 12 volt battery lasts all season with the use of a solar panel. The price of the camera is reasonable and the cost of up to 2500 pictures a month is minimal without a long term cellular contract. We can now scout and keep track of our hunting areas miles or states away, and then “move in for the kill” the instant we see the animal we are looking for.

The pictures above are a live feed from one of our cameras. The pink hue is due to a fast trigger setting, and the pictures files are set small so that they are easier to send and transfer to our phones and emails. We have found that is is much more important to know “up to date” information than to have large high resolution pictures. Also, check out the DVREye camera!!!!!
